During the latest HCL Factory Tour 3 in Chelmsford MA, HCL announced the end of Connections Cloud and Smart Cloud Notes. Missing one heartbeat and totally shocked on my site, they continued their story.
Newly build Connections on HCL Cloud, Partner Cloud of Private Cloud are the new options for our customers.
Partner Cloud, Private Cloud and on-premise are the options for Smart Cloud Notes and of course HCL Verse.
For Connections on Partner Cloud, HCL will deliver in Q4 2020 a special multi-tenant version so all the HCL Partners can create their own Connections Cloud service.
With all this in mind, i struggled in emotions. Is this a good thing?
Ofcourse it is…..this is the smartest move ever. HCL must focus on development, focus on quality, focus on user experience and focus on building excellent applications. Let us take care of implementations of Connections and Domino and how to deliver it to our customers. Let us take care of the updates and upgrades. Yeah !!!
