After some investigation, I decided to move away from my Microsoft desktop.
I installed 2 different Linux distributions: Ubuntu and Kali. Both have a Debian background.

For both I could install the Linux version of all my needed clients and tools like VPN clients, Remote tools, Editors ( Studio ), C++ compilers, and MS Teams ( Teams-for-linux on GitHub)….all but one….. My HCL Notes Client, Admin and Designer.

I really miss them and cannot work and live without them. Soooo Wine it is.

Now working 1 week in this configuration, and no-one has found out that I am working on a Linux desktop. Really love the GUI and the speed it gives me, on both.

But I am a terminal guy, so most of my work is using terminal sessions. Working headless is perfect and “Linux expects the intelligence to be on the other side of the keyboard”.

Buy Buy Microsoft !!

Still not decided what to use: Kali or Ubuntu.
